OUTDOOR STRUCTURES
MOREDON WELL
In collaboration with the very talented Elizabeth "Biz" Goldhammer, we took on rebuilding and repairing the roof for this working well. Once home to three distinct colonies of ants and a family of carpenter bees, we replaced the rotting framing with cedar posts, repaired skip sheathing, and added new shingles from Medford Cedar.
WEST GROVE PORCH ROOF
Along with the hardworking and visionary Thompsonowaks, I worked to design and build this porch for their house in West Grove, PA. The house is a converted garage, which presented some design challenges for maintaining adequate headspace while ensuring sufficient space below the upper windows. We used reclaimed lumber and posts for the framing and T&G yellow pine for the roof deck. Ask me how I brought 16' 3x12 timbers on my 6' truck bed. They laid a brick patio beneath it and planted a stunning garden. Now the converted garage looks like a cozy garden cottage.
RANDOLPH STREET PERGOLA
With the brilliant and strong Liam Hernandez, we built this pergola so the client could enjoy their back patio in the heat of summer. Why do I keep thinking it's a good idea to haul sixteen footers without a lumber rack?
